Ford Explorer Hub Assembly Replacement

I've known for a while that eventually I need to get the wheel bearings on my '02 Ford Explorer replaced. After some very unpleasant quotes for the parts and labor I decided I would get my hands dirty and do the repair/replacement myself. I used a very good online instruction but as it was geared towards the previous model/series there are few modifications that I felt would be good to share.

The article I used was located at AutoPartsDirectToYou and includes great pictures.  If you are planning to do this repair yourself be sure to read all the user comments at the end in the instruction/article.  Among some of the information is the use of 15 vs. 14mm sockets for the two caliper support frame bolts and the three hub assembly to knuckle bolts.  Second, if you are replacing the hubs on wheels where you also have an axle and spline note the suggested new axle nut from the dealer for $25.  Luckily for me I have 2WD and was replacing the fronts.  Lastly, be sure to use that PB blaster or other rust removal spray.
