I thought I had this entire upgrade planned out.  First I already purchased the the larger fuel injectors and after reading some of the forums and the fuel injector install guide at a4mods.com (pictures included) I decided installing the injectors myself in the parking lot at the shop would save me some money.  But this was clearly not to be.  When I called to schedule an appointment they told me customers were not allowed to work on their cars in the parking lot.  Therefore, they got me for 1 hr labor to install the injectors plus ½ hr labor to flash the ECU with the newer engine map.

Nonetheless, boy was I pleased with the results in performance.  I was even going to give them more money if they had a K&N performance filter (P/N 33-2209) for my B6 A4 1.8TQ.  But it was not in stock.  By the end of the week I had pick one up from Advanced Auto Parts and installed to improve that ever needed airflow factor.  The biggest surprise was that I'm still getting 28-31 MPG on the hwy in 6th gear of course.
